EUDir. (EU) 2022/2464 — sustainability reporting (CSRD)

EUDir. (EU) 2026/470 — Omnibus I package, narrows CSRD scope

National (RO)Order no. 85/2024 — transposes CSRD into Romanian law

Directive 2026/470 raises the CSRD thresholds to over 1,000 employees and over €450m turnover, but also introduces a legal "value chain cap" on what large companies can request from small suppliers — VSME is the recognised reference standard for that cap. National transposition of the CSRD changes is due by 19 March 2027; until then, Order 85/2024 remains in force in its current form.
